There
are exciting new alternatives to hysterectomy for women who experience
excessive bleeding during their menstrual cycle. This condition is
called menorrhagia and often occurs in the peri-menopausal (ages 40 to
55). It can also be due to fibroids in the uterus, or adenomyosis (endometriosis in the muscle of the uterus) There
is a procedure called endometrial ablation which can now be performed
in the office. The procedure uses a freezing technique to eliminate the
endometrial lining. The results are a very light menses or no menses at
all. However the woman maintains her hormones, cervix and uterus!
Please visit the web site at Her Option.com to learn about this
exciting new technique, which I offer in my office.
